Wire Seal flanges are intended for applications involving bell jars and custom vacuum chambers. These flanges consist of male and female components that compress a 0.080-inch diameter OFHC copper wire, creating a seal. The copper wire ensures a leak-tight seal at 10-13 mbar, even after multiple bakeouts up to 450 °C. The use of COHFC copper gaskets further enhances the seal, ensuring compatibility with UHV vacuum conditions and process chemistry.
