Wire Seal Male Blank Flanges, also known as blind flanges, are available in sizes ranging from 12 to 27 inches nominal OD for tube sizes spanning 10 to 24 inches OD. Employing a male and female flange, these flanges compress a 0.080-inch diameter OFHC copper wire to establish a leak-tight seal at 10-13 mbar, even after multiple bakeouts at 450 °C. Designed with no weld prep and no tubing bore, these blank flanges serve the purpose of sealing unused ports, or they can be customized by customers with machining capabilities for specific applications.
