Wire Seal Female Blank Flanges are available in sizes ranging from 12 to 27 inches nominal OD for tube sizes from 10 to 24 inches OD. A male and female flange compress a 0.080-inch diameter OFHC copper wire to create a seal. This copper wire ensures a leak-tight seal at 10-13 mbar, even after repeated bakeouts to 450 °C. These flanges are manufactured with no weld prep and no tubing bore. Blank flanges are frequently used to close unused ports, or customers can modify them with their own custom machining capability for special applications.
