Adapter Fittings come with two distinct types of Vacuum Flanges (CF and KF). The surface finishing varies, with DN16 to DN63 being polished on both the outside and inside, and DN100 to DN250 being polished on the inside, while the outside is either matted or glass bead blasted. Adapter flanges facilitate the connection of one type of flange system to another. Although it is possible to mix flange types using adapters, it is not recommended unless necessary to align with existing components or fittings. However, it is common practice to use one flange type for chamber-mounted components and another type for fore line components.
