Our Rotatable ConFlat (CF) Blank Flanges are designed for precision and adaptability in ultra-high vacuum (UHV) environments. Featuring untapped through-holes, these flanges allow easy alignment during installation while ensuring a secure, leak-tight seal.

How It Works:
The knife-edge beneath the flange surface creates annular grooves on both sides of a soft metal gasket when bolts are tightened. This process extrudes the gasket material into any machining marks or surface imperfections, delivering a perfect vacuum seal every time.

Assembly Instructions

1. Apply a small amount of high-temperature anti-seize compound to bolt threads.
2. Ensure flange surfaces are clean and free from scratches.
3. Use lint-free gloves and unpack the gasket.
4. Place gasket in the knife edge.
5. Align hole pattern and leak test grooves.
6. Install bolts and tighten hand-tight, ensuring faces are parallel.
7. Tighten bolts ¼ to ½ turns in a clockwise circular pattern until faces are metal-to-metal.
