Viton Gaskets designed for ConFlat flanges find application in scenarios where high temperatures and UHV conditions are not highly critical. Unlike copper gaskets, Viton Seals can be reused multiple times. Installation may require slight stretching to fit into the Conflat CF Flange groove. For vertical flanges, a small amount of vacuum grease aids in securing the Viton O-ring in place. These Viton gaskets are specifically employed to seal between the knife-edges of two identically sized CF flanges.
